ABOUT INDONESIA DAY

Center of Information & Services - Prosperous Justice Party ANZ Region, Inc [PIP PKS ANZ], supported by Consulate General of Republic of Indonesia, Indonesian Community Council NSW (ICC), Indonesian Association (Perhimpunan Indonesia), and Bankstown City Council has undertaken a progressive initiative by organising INDONESIA DAY.

INDONESIA DAY - to be held in August to celebrate its Independence Day - is a festival for everyone from all background. The event serves as an occasion to increase social interaction between Indonesian and other communities in Sydney that fosters mutual respect and tolerance. One of its main goals is to present a harmonious image of Indonesia and its vibrant cultures to the world in general, particularly Sydney / Australian community. It is also to celebrate Indonesia's richness of cultural diversity, as well as to strengthen relationship between Indonesian and Australian governments.

Showcasing talkshow with presenters from both Indonesia and Australia, along with various traditional performances and workshops, a variety of food stalls from different parts of Indonesia, jumping castle and traditional fashion contest for kids, as well as live performance by Indonesian singer Dik Doank, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
